TWIN TOWERS
Twin Towers climb high in the blue morning sky
Good Morning America is on TV.
Log on September 11, 2001
Begin workday,
Drink coffee, eat a bun.
Open the blinds let in the morning sun to a plane’s
Grumbling, engine’s roar.
They soar louder, louder,
Deafening to the ear.
Frozen fear,
Screeching crash,
Screams,
Time stops!
Adrenaline pumps,
Heart thumps!
Fires rage,
Smoke chokes
in office cage.
People running everywhere,
Under the desk, under the chair.
People jump into the smoke filled sky
As desks, chairs and computers fly.
The building begins to shake, as windows break.
They run through a gray dust, glass filled sky;
The towers that once stood tall suddenly fall,
People run away, Others stay,
Papers fly,
and a resume blows
by a mother
in blue begins to weep
for, they have slaughtered
The Shepherds sheep.
