International Society of Dysfunctional Veterans
IWVPA Webmaster's Comment: This website came about as a result of Ranger Andy's determination to come to terms with being a Dysfunctional Veteran. Although commercial in nature with little personal information and no provision for personal feedback, Andy's website has struck a chord in me particularly as I am also a dysfunctional Veteran. I've fallen in love with his website name and the motto, Dysfunctional Veteran-Leave Me Alone (both are copyright and trademark protected) because they tickled my sense of irony and my imagination.

Old War Dogs
Through the magic of the blogosphere it is becoming increasingly evident that there are a lot of old dogs out there mastering the new tricks of this 21st Century phenomenon. While some are technically skilled enough to create their own sites, like your host Bill Faith, far more fall into my category: those who tenaciously hunt and peck out their opinions on war, society and life in general, and have only the basic computer skills requisite to sending those opinions into the ether of this wonderful thing called the Internet.
Old War Dogs is a site designed for these old dogs to practice their new tricks without having to compete with the fluid skills of younger, more technically savvy bloggers. While we may be too old to carry a gun in the ranks, we can still pound these keys. Mao's dictum that political power flows from the barrel of a gun, while true, predates the blogosphere; and this old dog bets the Chairman would be truly stunned at the power that flows from the keyboard.
Blog on you old mutts!

Propose.co.uk: The creative works of A.R Lewis
I am often asked why at the age of 87 years I would wish to have my own website? Well, there are several reasons behind my decision - I suppose the simple pleasure of sharing something which may have a positive effect on another persons life is my greatest single motivation. One of my other motives for broadcasting my work is a strong sense of preserving history 'as it happened' and my age puts me in a fairly unique position to do this - to ensure that society's Spin Doctors and Politicians don't misrepresent past events to their advantage. Finally, this website serves as a simple, personal indulgence, which gives an old country boy a little pleasure.
I sincerely hope your visit here is a pleasant one and I hope that when you leave these pages that you can take with you a little something which in some small way helps you through your day and I would encourage you to try and do the same for others.
Thank you all for visiting!
Warmest Regards,
A.R. (David) Lewis
