SATAN IN PARADISE

Human philistinism is a great enemy of nature,
I am saddened to see her in decline.
The callous soul of the Godless human creature,
Is where the devil's termites dine.
What is wondrous to the eye of the beholder,
Is to the materialist a selfish lust,
As he takes from the vast mountain its boulder,
Turns green meadows into wasteland and dust.
There is nothing on earth he fails to spoil,
Not an animal he would not kill,
Polluting his own water in his quest for oil
To provide for his insatiable will ..
Man is a Satan in a paradise of splendour,
Self satisfaction is the art of his drill.
