DULL
This is going to be an incredibly dull and dreary poem.
Please, if you are unfortunate enough to read this, don't get your hopes up.
For it is simply not going to get any better.
Perhaps you thought this fourth line would be an improvement.
But, by golly, how wrong can you be!
As surely that is the most lackluster of all.
Possibly though, you time hasn't been entirely wasted,
For wasting time is a travesty.
Maybe, just maybe, the last line will be stunningly poetic and awe inspiring!
And we shall end, together, reader and writer, on a high note
concluding with a healthy dollop of literacy merit.
HA! Wrong again. Well I did warn you didn't I?
