AS THE MONTH OF MAY FIRMLY TAKES A GRIP
As the month of May firmly takes a grip,
The California sun shines a little warmer,
and daylight seems to joyously linger longer,
before the sun finally retires and sets.
My garden roses and hydrangeas flourish,
and their vibrant blooms are delicate and plentiful.
The visiting song birds are in strong voice,
melodically rejoicing the end of April’s showers.
The daydreams of long, lazy days ahead
capture and inspire my keen imagination:
For these are the months to rejoice in nature,
and revel in all the splendors of Mother Earth.
