NIGHT PATROL
I seldom ever see them
When my eyes are open wide
For they visit me late at night
As they gather near my side
I feel their presence close to me
I hear them call my name
Get Up and Come away with us
For we can surely ease your pain
I stare into the darkness
And ask them to go away
For I am not yet ready
To go with them today
The lieutenant tells them to "Saddle Up"
They must continue their night patrol
In an effort to reunite with their buddies
And to retrieve their very soul
