THE EYE OF THE TIGER

I have seen the eye of the Tiger.
I have felt his fiery breathe.
My hackles rise in fear at just the thought of his name.

There is a little of the Tiger in each of us.
If you are lucky the Tiger will sleep;
For those whose profession is Arms,
The Tiger will make you weep.

When you or your mate are threatened
The eye of the Tiger opens,
It's slumber quickly broken,
So all must face this test.

For those who make their living with the sword
The Tiger is both friend and foe.
The misery he brings today
Is countenanced by the victory of tomorrow.

So take heed my friend for if you wake this Tiger
Know for sure your reasons,
Know for sure your will to win
Else you too will fear the eye of the Tiger.
