MY REGRETABLE ACTIONS
Oh, how I wish I could die,
to end this life, damned as it is.
I had so many chances, but at each I rose to the occasion;
I fought like a lion;
Now I am left to regret my actions.
It would have been so easy to fall in the line of Duty.
By gunshot, by knife, by booby trap or by mine,
it makes little difference.
There would be no stigma for my family to cope with,
I could have passed over, knowing I could rest easy in my grave.
