THE WAR IS OVER
The Vietnam War is over.
When our soldiers’ returned home, they were not welcomed.
Life became uncertain;
Life had already drawn the final curtain.
Scenes of war continued in the mind,
like an incurable infection.
Fear, guilt, and hatred could not be surrendered.
Hatred cut through the heart like a knife;
Guilt caused pain and strife.
Today our soldier’s are home free;
There is no time for sorrow.
Time on earth is only to borrow.
Now is the time for them to make a new start.
The ugly scene of war is over,
they have played their part.
The war is over,
It is time to heal what they began to feel.
LOVE…
